Get details here.

"Just want to let you all know that I took Susan Raab's master class last summer at SCBWI. It was REALLY AWESOME! I have applied what I learned all year as I have been preparing for my book launch. Her book has been my 'Cliff's Notes' as I've navigated the months prior to my book launch, and I recommend it for anyone who is preparing to launch a book (or hoping to) in the future." --- Debra McArthur, SCBWI member and author of A Voice for Kanzas (Kane Miller, March 2012).

Claire's a freelance writer and editor with twenty years’ experience in publishing. After graduating from the University of Kansas, she moved to New York City, where she worked as an in-house and freelance editor with publishers like HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Prentice Hall, and Macmillan.

Since 1993, she's been a full-time freelancer. Telling stories is what she does best. Sometimes her tales are fiction. Sometimes she tells the story of a teacher who’s gifted with special-needs children. She writes about fascinating places, interesting people, and organizations whose services she believes in. Her most recent project is a fantasy novel for middle-grade readers. The Key and the Flame will be published in 2013 by Margaret K. McElderry Books, that venerated imprint of Simon & Schuster.

Copyediting and proofreading for publishing houses fill the rest of her time. The English language is endlessly complex and fascinating, and she enjoys making it the best it can be.

Currently she lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, daughter, one beaglish mutt named Eloise, and one shepherdish mutt named Sawyer.

You can find her on  Twitter (www.twitter.com/ClaireCaterer), Facebook (www.facebook.com/ClaireCaterer), and Goodreads (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/5778099.Claire_M_Caterer).
